Speed Friending night

With so many new students joining us at The University of Adelaide we're putting on a Speed Friending night to help people grow their connectons at university.

 When: Thursday 16th March, 6:00pm
 Price: Free! Please RSVP going on this event to help us with catering.
 Who's invited: Everyone! Invite your friends or come on your own, you're bound to make at least one connection.

What is Speed Friending
Speed friending is an event where everyone sits down at a table to has a conversation with the person opposite them. You'll have 3-5 minutes and then everyone will switch seets and start a conversation with the next person. Once most people have had a chance to meet, there'll be food and free time to follow up with people you've met.

Science and Engineering Challenge

The Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC) has been operating since 2003 here in South Australia. It aims to inspire and motivate year 9 and 10 students to begin a journey along a pathway to make a difference to our community by studying science and engineering at a senior level and increasing their awareness of related careers. This provides a fun filled day with exciting and challenging activities that will engage the minds of our young participants.

To make this happen we need volunteer supervisors, working in small teams of 2 or 3 to supervise a group of students undertaking one of the hands-on-activities. Full instructions and briefings are provided prior to the day.

Your main job will be encouraging the students to start and, shortly after, encouraging them to finish. Many volunteers return year after year they enjoy it so much.
